X Factor winner Ben Haenow may have been mixing with the stars – but the former van driver admits he still pines for Croydon.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 6 for ‘Ben Haenow is Back’ which takes place at Fairfield Halls on Tuesday, April 19.
And the 30-year-old, whose collaborated with Kelly Clarkson for his newly-released single Second Time Heart, spoke of his pride for his home town in an interview with the Evening Standard.

“I miss Croydon and it is always nice to be home,” he said.
“I miss our tram system — which is one of the finest in the world — and I miss hanging out with my mates. It is a bit funny going from jet-setting around the world to being back in Croydon. But I miss my home comforts when I am away. I like going for beers with the boys and doing normal stuff.”
His debut album is released on November 13 but after spending time recording, Ben is now looking to recapturing the magic of his performance in North End last December just before he was crowned X Factor champion.
Ben added: “Performing live is what I love and what I have been looking forward to the most.”
