House prices in Croydon may have soared over the last 12 months, but it remains comparatively affordable in the London market.
Latest Land Registry figures show the average house price in the borough is £370,766, the sixth lowest in London, despite a 14.7 per cent increase in the last year.
That makes the average price of a home in Croydon around £160,000 cheaper than the London average, but almost £50,000 more expensive than Bexley, the cheapest borough.
Across England and Wales, average house prices have fallen slightly since January to £190,000.
