An underground art gallery is set to form part of the £750million College Green regeneration programme in Croydon.
Rick Mather Architects has unveiled plans for a 2,000 sq metre gallery, to be located in a subterranean car park below College green, which would feature a large bespoke frameless rooflight.
The area is being transformed into a new arts and education quarter, with Fairfield Halls closing this summer to allow for a £30million refurbishment of the iconic venue.
