With Croydon’s on going regeneration gaining strength, the town is becoming increasingly attractive to businesses. This has and will continue to create an influx of new employees into Croydon.
In order to gauge changing perceptions of Croydon, the Develop Croydon Forum has created a survey to pinpoint what workers like and dislike about the town as a workplace.
The survey is designed to allow employees to have an input in shaping the future of the town, both in terms of a place to work and a place to live and enjoy in a social sense. Their opinions will become a focal point of this year’s Develop Croydon Conference, which is being held on Tuesday 22nd November.
Richard Plant, chairman of the Develop Croydon Forum, said “Croydon has undergone remarkable change over the past five years in the hope of making it a place where those people who come here to work also choose to spend their leisure time here.
“This month’s opening of Boxpark Croydon is a step towards that goal while the improved retail offer, once the Whitgift Shopping Centre has been redeveloped by the Croydon Partnership, should also make it a more desirable place to spend your time.
“With a large number of offices under construction and thousands of tax office workers set to move to the new office building in Ruskin Square we want to ensure that the views of the town’s employees are heard in the debate about how we improve Croydon – the place.”
