A developer specialising in “unlocking” Croydon’s smaller brownfield sites for quality residential schemes is looking for new opportunities in the borough.
Regent Land and Developments is an experienced developer of brownfield land with a focus on small to medium scale residential and mixed-use builds across south London.
The fast growing, privately-owned Croydon firm, is developing a number of key sites in and around the borough and is now looking for more. Because managing director Patrick Maher believes Croydon’s regeneration doesn’t just rest on the major development of large scale building firms.
Prime site: Limpsfield Road
“We are a medium sized developer and we believe there is room for us in Croydon at the moment,” said Mr Maher, who is a Develop Croydon Forum member.
“We specialise in developing smaller to medium sized sites that the larger developers probably wouldn’t take on. These smaller sites can often present specific development challenges.
But with our experience – both my own and our talented design teams – there is always a solution. That’s our where our expertise lies – in unlocking difficult sites.”
With 30 years’ experience in residential construction and development, Patrick Maher is committed to Croydon, as this is where he has always worked and lived with his family.

“Croydon has real opportunity now which it seems to be grasping,” said Mr Maher. “The borough has the right people at the head of the regeneration and it is far more forward thinking than many other boroughs.”
Regent Land have numerous projects in the pipeline for Croydon, including 26 flats and terraced houses plus commercial space at a prime site in Limpsfield Road, South Croydon. The company has also submitted a planning application for 15 houses and flats on a site in Bensham Lane, West Croydon.
“We are actively looking to acquire and develop more brownfield sites at the moment,” said Mr Maher. “We are committed to Croydon and people can have confidence that we are here for the long game, even after the regeneration of the borough is complete.”
