Croydon’s cultural quarter is to provide the home for the latest work by internationally-renowned street artist Ben Eine.
London property developer Inspired Homes has provided the blank canvas for the Londoner’s work in the form of a nine-storey elevation on its Green Dragon House development.
Once complete, the mural will depict the word ‘mesmerising’ in Ben’s graffiti-style letter formations.

Ben’s graffiti style letter formations shot to fame when prime minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha presented one of his works, using Eine’s circus font, to American president Barack Obama as a gift on their first official state visit.
His latest work at one of Inspired Homes’ innovative residential developments forms part of a wider initiative to reignite the London borough through art and redevelopment.
It is the latest part of a rebuilding of Croydon’s art scene which has been led by Kevin Zuchowski-Morrison, founder of RISEgallery, and Vestalia Chilton who is in charge of curating phase two expansion of the arts quarter.
The growth in art has coincided with the town’s multi-billion pound regeneration which is seeing previously dilapidated areas transformed into innovative and inspiring places to live and work.
“Croydon’s many concrete buildings present a commanding canvas for large scale murals," said Vestalia.
"This is an area deserving of great street art, we hope that many more murals will go up after Ben has completed his.”
The ‘mesmerising’ mural will be completed on Friday, February 26.
