Asset and property management company FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) announced the sale of the former Toys ‘R’ Us unit in Croydon in May for £16.1m.
Nuveen’s Janus Henderson Investors has now been confirmed as the buyer, as reported by CoStar News, and it is understood to be preparing to redevelop the site as a distribution hub.
Planning permission was granted in March 2019 to change the Use Class from A1 to Use Class B8 (Storage and distribution.)
Joint agents appointed to market the properties are Cushman & Wakefield and Morgan Williams.
