Ruskin Square - Schroders and Stanhope

Ruskin Square is an exciting 2 million sq ft business, residential and leisure destination that is positioning Croydon firmly on the map as one of the most exciting places to live, work and play in the capital.

The Schroders and Stanhope development, located right next to East Croydon Station, recently welcomed HM Revenue and Customs, which has taken the entire first office building (183,000 sq ft) and preparations are underway to build the next phase of circa 200,000sq ft. 

The scheme is also home to BOXPARK Croydon, an incubator for 80 food and beverage operators, which includes a live events space.

 Residents moved into the first of four phases of residential accommodation at Ruskin Square last year. Delivered in partnership with Places for People, ‘Vita’ comprises 161 one and two bedroom apartments and plans are being prepared to develop the remaining residential phases..

Ruskin Square is set to create a total of  625 new homes in total, as well as 100,000 sq ft of restaurants and shops, and 1.25m sq ft of new commercial space.

Croydon Partnership

Westfield and Hammerson created the Croydon Partnership to redevelop the Whigift Centre into a new state-of-the-art retail and leisure centre in Croydon.  The £1.4bn scheme will help unlock Croydon’s huge potential, transforming the  town centre into a 1.5m ft² state-of-the-art retail, leisure and restaurant destination, together with new public realm, creating 5,000 new jobs, new car parking and new residential units including affordable housing.  This will act as the catalyst for the wider regeneration of Croydon, attracting new residents and visitors back to the town centre for the benefit of all local businesses, whilst delivering a safe destination for families.  In addition to key anchor stores, over 300 shops, restaurants and cafes will bring together a dynamic mix of high street fashion, independent traders, food and lifestyle brands.
