Lynne has been a Croydon Councillor since 1998 and Deputy Executive Mayor of Croydon and Cabinet Member for Homes since May 2022. She sits on the newly established London Warmer Homes Board and is the London Councils Conservative Group Lead on Housing
As Croydon Council’s Cabinet Member for Homes, Lynne has been instrumental in taking forward a range of initiatives aimed at improving housing conditions and expanding council housing stock. This includes the redevelopment of the Regina Road estate, which plans to deliver 225 new council homes.
Key to Lynne’s approach is the deep involvement of residents throughout the development of and implementation of housing strategies and regeneration plans. She is proud of the newly evolving Croydon Housing Service which puts residents first, ensures their voices are part of the process, and which is starting the journey of delivering on promises for decent homes.
