The 12th Develop Croydon Conference will shine the spotlight on the borough’s workplace opportunity with the support of Ruskin Square, Schroders Capital and Stanhope.
Ruskin Square has partnered with the 2021 Develop Croydon Conference, which is titled Live Work Croydon. Taking place at Fairfield Halls on 8 November, speakers and delegates will be discussing the opportunities the borough has to be a destination of choice for those wanting the new work-life balance in London.
The opening panel session will be discussing the office offer in the borough with Rob Cosslett, Deputy Fund Manager at Schroders Capital, joining the speaker line up to discuss what Ruskin Square has delivered to date and what more is to come from the development, which is set to total up to 1 million sq ft of office accommodation, 625 residential units, and 100,000 sq ft of retail, restaurant, and leisure areas next to East Croydon station.
HM Revenue and Customs occupies One Ruskin Square, a 183,000 sq ft building and will soon be joined by the Home Office in a second landmark office, signed on a 25-year-lease. The 10-storey Two Ruskin Square is currently under construction and due to be handed over in Q2 2023, providing 330,000 sq ft for one of the new government hubs, with ambitious sustainability design requirements, with the building targeting a BREEAM[1] Outstanding rating and NABERS accreditation.
Mr Cosslett will be joined on the panel by Heather Cheesbrough, Croydon Council’s Director of Planning and Strategic Transport, London Borough of Croydon and chaired by Mark Easton, BBC Home Editor with further speakers to be announced soon.
