Entrepreneurs are being given the opportunity to make their business idea a reality at a free Business Advice Day being hosted by StartUp Croydon.
The event, taking place at Weatherill House Business Centre from 11am to 4pm on Wednesday, October 12, will encourage and advise those looking to get a business of the ground by showcasing training, mentoring programmes and the funding opportunities available.
A series of business support workshops will take place throughout the event where topics will include HR support and employment law, social enterprises and marketing your business.
Speed networking sessions will also be held throughout the day, providing a chance to make business contacts in an efficient way based on the speed dating concept.
David Robinson, chairman of StartUp Croydon said: “Since its inaugural event in March 2014, the business advice and networking sessions have proved popular with both startups and established businesses alike, providing them with opportunities to find out how to set up and run their businesses effectively.
“They also provide an opportunity to meet with key members of StartUp Croydon, and the chance to find about the help we can provide, as well as showcasing the affordable, flexible office space at Weatherill House Business Centre which provide the perfect environment to grow your business.
“The event complements and builds on the regular activities StartUp has provided on a daily basis since the organisation was founded in 1983 as Croydon Business Venture.”
Attendees to the Business Advice Day will also receive free lunch and refreshments, a free information pack and participation into a prize draw.
