An organisation which protects vacant buildings will highlight its work at an event called ‘Enhancing Croydon’ at Electric House in on Friday, January 21.
Visitors will be able to see how Global Guardians Management Ltd is looking after Electric House, an impressive building in the town centre, as well as various units for AmicusHorizon.
As an associate partner of Develop Croydon, Global Guardians aims to prevent squatting, metal theft and dereliction of empty buildings as they await refurbishment or redevelopment.
It provides opportunities via its Life Enhancing Chances services and provide DLO services to assist with vulnerable people within the area. This will include voluntary work to help individuals who are no longer able to conduct domestic activities such as gardening and decorating.
