Croydon new homes sell below asking price

New-build homes in Croydon are selling for 12 per cent below the asking price according to a new survey.

Estates Gazette is reporting that Redbridge is the only borough in the capital with a bigger cap between the price demanded and received.

EGi London Residential Research shows that the price disparities, which had dropped during the course again, rose from three to six per cent across the capital in 2015.

Daniel Smith, analyst at EGi London Residential Research said: "Higher asking prices, more expensive units and penthouses, as well as a desire to ‘finish’ developments all drive prices down."
