A planning application for the final five stages of Barratt Homes’ development of the former Cane Hill Hospital site has been submitted.
The first 188 homes on the site in Coulsdon are already taking shape following the granting of planning permission in 2014.
Proposals have now been lodged with Croydon Council for a further 472 homes – of which 118 will be affordable.
The plans incorporate a water tower and chapel, which survived a major fire in 2010 which demolished many other buildings, either side of an oval village green
Barratt propose to complete the entire scheme by 2020.
