Croydon has a new bar, offering customers prosecco on tap, craft ales and a fine art collection on the walls.
Art & Craft, in Surrey Street, opened for business on April 18.
Owners Tom Talbot and Bradley Ridge already have three artisan bars in Streatham Hill, Streatham Common and West Norwood.
At the Croydon bar – Art & Craft CRO – customers will be able to admire an impressive display of art, which includes a genuine Banksy piece, Monkey Queen. There will also be work by the artist Lucus Price, alongside work by lesser known local artists.
The bar will be run by a familiar face, Kev McNally, star of BBC1’s fly-on-the-wall documentary series – The Sheriffs Are Coming – which follows the work of High Court enforcement agents.
“The staff are going to have a good knowledge of the beer and get people drinking different beers,” he said.
“The building we have got we think is fantastic. We have kept a lot of the original features and brought a lot of it back to life. We are so proud of what we have achieved.”
Art & Craft CRO is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 11pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 1am and on Sundays from noon to 8pm.
