A new luxury 98-home development is being brough to market at Emerald House.
Real estate specialists 1st avenue has been instructed to sell 70 one-bedroom apartments in the former offices, which are due for completion towards the end of 2017.
Located in a leafy avenue, moments from the vibrancy of the town centre, Emerald House is the latest part of the £1billion regeneration initiative which is reshaping the town centre as a desirable place to live and work.
Paul Endacott, group managing director of 1st avenue, is urging buyers to get ahead of the pack, and expects all of the available flats to sell out quickly after their imminent launch.
“We came to Croydon three years ago in the knowledge that Westfield and Hammerson are building the most ambitious shopping mall in recent history,” Mr Endacott said.
“It really is happening and, the lesson from Stratford – the last retail offering of this scale – was that if you bought close to Westfield you experienced stratospheric capital growth and have done very well indeed.
“Shrewd investors are all over anything new that is ‘first phase’ in Croydon right now. Property in the town is undervalued right now and the yields are high.”
Apartments in the new development start from £250,000.
