It has been labelled an iconic ‘mini-Shard’ – now developers Guildhouse UK and Rosepride have unveiled some of their vision for their One Lansdowne Road skyscraper.
A 14th-floor suspended glass-bottomed swimming pool is among the features, linking two tower blocks rising to 51 and 65 storeys, while the bar on the roof will be the highest in Europe
The developers have signed a £500million deal for the China Building Technique Group construction firm to build the towers, which have been redrafted to offer more housing as well as 160,000 sq ft of offices since it won planning permission from Croydon Council in 2012.

In total, the new plans feature nearly 1,000 homes – consisting of 184 studio apartments, 419 one-bedroom flats, 334 two-bed, 12 three-beds and 12 penthouse suites.
A hostel, hotel, gym, café, bar, restaurant and offices in Lansdowne Road and Wellesley Road face demolition to make way for the development.
Guildhouse Rosepride intends to apply for full planning permission next month.
