Croydon is among the best office locations in London and tops the UK table as a co-working location, a survey has revealed.
CACI assessed more than 400 locations taking in employee population, demographics, retail, transport and Wifi connectivity. Croydon, Barnet and Lambeth, all had the same score in the London ranking, with only Bromley nudging ahead.
However, as a co-working location, Croydon outperformed the likes of Brighton, Bristol, Edinburgh, as well as Bromley, Barnet and Lambeth, which were all in the top 10.
Croydon’s success was partly attributed to it being a cheaper alternative to central London locations
John Platt, director at CACI, told Property Week: “Croydon is an emerging destination undergoing huge amounts of change, with the new Westfield/Hammerson development being built alongside office and residential space, making it a good choice for businesses that need office space with good transport links to London but without the high price tag.”
